January 2015

Happy New Year!

It's report card season!  What grade does Sumner County Schools get?  Please join us for a program where our guest speaker, Dr. Gary Kaufman will provide information comparing Sumner County Schools to neighboring school districts.

We have a lot of measures of educational effectiveness, but it is not always easy to understand what these measures mean. To give a context for understanding performance measures, this presentation will compare the performance of Sumner County Schools with the performance of the other eight Nashville metropolitan area public school systems. The presentation will cover student performance for 2013 and 2014 for grades 3 8 and high school. The presentation will also provide comparisons for district operational data such as staffing levels and finance.

 DATE: Monday, January 12, 2015

       TIME: 6:00 p.m.
